Commonwealth War Graves Commission Guided Walk – St Peter’s Lodsworth

Find out the history of local casualties and the work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) is offering tours of Easebourne (St Mary’s) Churchyard, Carron Lane Cemetery & Lodsworth (St Peter’s) Churchyard as part of the MADhurst Festival with Phil Stringer as your guide.

The free guided tours will give people in Midhurst, Easebourne & Lodsworth the chance to discover the remarkable stories of the men and women of the Commonwealth forces that died in the First and Second World Wars who are buried in their community.

CWGC believe that each one of those we commemorate were people like us, with their own ambitions, hopes, and dreams.  It is our duty and privilege to care for their graves and memorials and through our charitable Foundation, keep their stories alive.

Tours will take 75 minutes and are for a maximum of 10 people. The tours are free but places must be booked in advance.
