SUMMARY:QECP to Buster Hill
DESCRIPTION:Meeting at the Queen Elizabeth Country Park Visitor Centre at 11am ready for a prompt 11.15am start we will make our way under the road and take a climb up to the top of Butser Hill to see the amazing views around us. Note this has a steep climb at first but then a gentle walk around the top before a decent down. \nWe will take a walk around the top perimeter of Butser Hill\, hopefully taking in the views of the Highland Cattle that are currently there before making our way back down the hill to the Visitor Centre to enjoy a cuppa. \nPlease note that it can be a bit muddy and slippery under foot so do bring walking poles if you think they will help you. Dogs are welcome but must be on leads around any animals \nGood boots or wellies are highly recommended as this route can get quite muddy in places especially after rain. \nAs before you are responsible for your own health and safety. £1 per walk donation towards the charity of the month. \nMeeting Place – Queen Elizabeth Country Park Visitor Centre\, Petersfield ///sculpture.trails.outhouse

SUMMARY:U3A Public Talk: Dr Kathryn Harkup - A is for Arsenic
DESCRIPTION:Agatha Christie revelled in the use of poison to kill off unfortunate victims in her books; indeed she employed it more than any other murder method\, with the poison itself often being a central part of the novel. This talk looks at how the writer used her extensive knowledge of drugs and medicines mixed with real life cases to create her brilliantly plotted crime novels. Her poisons were picked with care\, often providing vital clues to the discovery of the murderer. We will look at howdunnit but whodunnit is for you to find out. \nMonthly talk and refreshments: doors open 2:00 pm; refreshments served until 2.20pm; talk starts at 2.30pm
