At Fitzcane’s, we welcome you to our café at the bottom of North Street, next to the bus station. It’s the perfect location to enjoy breakfast, a coffee break, or light lunch, being adjacent to the bus station and North Street car park.

Sit at the window bar and watch the world go by, or enjoy our fabulous sunny garden overlooking the Causeway, the Cowdray Ruins and the Walled Garden of Cowdray. Then take a stroll across the road and visit the South Downs National Park Centre to find out what is going on in this beautiful area during your visit. 

Our menu offers simple and local fare, alcoholic beverages, as well as delicious local ice cream, sorbet, teas and coffees.   Everything is freshly made, and locally sourced wherever possible.

We offer table service, and it’s a fun vibe at Fitzcane’s, with music, newspapers, and activities for the kids.  We love the art of conversation and nothing makes us happier than watching friends and families put away their phones and play one of our trivia games. 

Do not be surprised to step over a pooch or two, as well behaved dogs on leads are welcome!  We have towels for wet dogs, free dog biscuits and even homemade doggie ice creams!

With lots of gluten free options, and milk alternatives, there is something for everybody.  You might even pick up a gift or two.
